I would definitely go to beaches in winters and to mountains in summertime, why do we have to compare both of them! They have their own vibes!

It depends on the weather... I would choose beaches in the weather of not so cool not so hot like in oct to dec. And hills in the months like December to February.

Hill station is a very good place to relax, nature view. Don't know about beach never gone there.
