Umm I was thinking of calling my ex the other day to enquire about covid etc. but decided against it. It may look like I am desperate to reconnect and using covid as an excuse. You re connected with him because he is going through a bad phase but don't go beyond that. Keep away from him nothing good will come from pursuing your past relationship.
