A Metro Station Full Of Surprises! | The Sir Visvesvaraya Moti Bagh Metro Station is coming up on the Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus-Lajpat Nagar stretch of the Pink Line, which is set to be thrown open for the public by month end.
The station will cater to many commuters from nearby residential areas like North Moti Bagh, Sectors 8, 9, 12 and 13 of RK Puram, New Moti Bagh, Aradhana Enclave and Anand Niketan. The station will also see students commuting from around 6 schools in the neighbouring areas.
And now, here’s the best part. You’ll find tribal art installations from Chattisgarh adorning the walls of the station and pillars decorated with beautiful Indian jali work, which actually lights up during the night! Woah! A treat to the eye, for sure. Also, don’t miss out on the creative tile art done by students from nearby schools on some of the station pillars as well.
On the outer walls of this metro station, you will find artwork centered around the theme of nature. The colour scheme of the station is yellow and green, keeping with the station’s branding partner - Indraprastha Gas Limited.
There’s also a subway to help commuters cross the busy and congested Ring Road, that exits near the intersection of RK Puram Sectors 12 and 13.
So basically, we peeps have a lot to discover once this metro station is thrown open!
