The New Welcome Metro Station On The Pink Line Will Connect East, Northeast & Northwest Delhi

Bookmark

Hey there, metro travellers. Waiting for the entire Pink Line to be thrown open soon, aren’t you? Same here. But in the meantime, here’s good news for all the riders who’ll soon be commuting via this line. Take a look!

Gonna Be A Pink Line Traveller Soon? | If you’ve been tracking the news, you’d know that the Shiv Vihar - Trilokpuri stretch of the Pink Line is gonna be thrown open for us travellers by early October (can’t wait!). So, there’s a station on this stretch called Welcome Metro Station and we’re here to talk about it.

Alright, so here’s why this metro station is of particular importance - it will connect East, Northeast, Northwest Delhi, as well as Ghaziabad, with one another. That’s so cool! It’s going to be an interchange station that will serve as a junction between the Red and Pink Lines of the Delhi Metro.

Once this stretch is open to the public, you folks will be able to easily travel towards Karkardooma, Ghaziabad, Anand Vihar and East Delhi. Passengers will no longer have to take the longer route via Kashmere Gate and Rajiv Chowk. Phew, that’s a relief!

The existing Welcome station and the upcoming interchange are located at opposite sides of the road and are connected by a 90 metre over-bridge. There will be escalators, elevators and stairs for passengers to access the foot over-bridge. In the new metro station, you’ll find token vending machines, as well as counters.

Well, we can’t wait for this stretch of the Pink Line to be launched and end most of our travel woes once and for all!
