5 Best Natural Attractions You Can Retreat To In Nagpur


Being in the city is exhausting for all of us and we look for chances to escape the chaos every once in a while. And we can all agree that connecting with nature is one of the surest ways to do that. Whether it’s by watching a beautiful sunset or a stunning waterfall, or by locking eyes with a tiger, we can all find solace in the wonders of nature. So head on out to some of these places mentioned below and we promise you will come back with much more contentment. 

1.  Ambazari Lake

The largest of 11 lakes in the city, Ambazari Lake is the best lake to be in Nagpur for a nice, pleasant day. The lake is well maintained with stonework, lush trees, charming fountains and efficient public utilities. There are pretty walkways, tall mango trees, electronic rides, and boat-rides to enjoy the lake closely. Adjoining the lake is an 18-acre park that is green and well-maintained by the administrative bodies. Watching the sunset in a boat over the lake’s horizon is one activity we’d highly recommend.  

2. Tadoba Andhari National Park

Named after the Andhari river that flows through the Park, Tadoba Andhari is the oldest and largest National Park of Nagpur and is one of the 47 prestigious tiger reserves of India. Established in 1955, the National Park is a beautiful sanctuary of rich biodiversity that features hilly terrain, teak trees amidst other wild plantations and majestic tigers that inhabit the park. Partake in a thrilling safari ride and have the pleasure of seeing tigers in their natural habitat.  

3. Orange Plantations 

Nagpur is regarded as the land of oranges. It has the most suitable conditions for growing oranges due to which they’re commercially produced at a massive scale here. Consequently, you can find some quirky orange treats like orange barfi, orange halwa, orange chaats and much more around here. But the best place to enjoy these juicy oranges is the orange plantations scattered in and around the city. Featuring large orchards of orange trees, these plantations are a delight to watch and embrace. The orange on green looks beautiful and the trees are the perfect shading height for picking some out to munch on!

4. Amba Khori

Located about an hour away from Nagpur, Ambakhori is one of the most favourite picnic spots of all Nagpur locals. Featuring a stunning waterfall located at the edge of River Pench with a dam attached, the Ambakhori Falls is a stunning natural landmark whose intricate stone formations make it seem almost man-made. The falls are picturesque and wide with white waters falling gracefully over the rocks. A well-established picnic spot, the place also features oodles of small food joints around so take a drive out to the falls for a fun day. 

5. Japanese Rose Garden 

While gardens aren’t exactly nature’s marvel, this one truly makes you feel the exuberance of mother earth. The beautiful garden houses an exquisite variety of flowers that not only include natural species but several hybrid varieties as well, especially those of roses! So visit the garden and marvel at the plethora of flowers in the widest range of hues. The gardens are dreamy and enchanting, making it perfect for a day out with your bae!
