Amid all the gloomy news about the pandemic, we’re here with a piece of news that is bound to put a smile on your face. Hint - it’s about changing a particular metro station’s name, any guesses?

Gaining Recognition | On Wednesday, the 24th of June, the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) decided to name Sector 50 metro station on the Aqua Line (which connects Noida & Greater Noida) as ‘Rainbow Station’. This station will be dedicated to the transgender community - *nice*. They had earlier received several suggestions about names which would relay the essence of the community before finally deciding on this one.

Plus, the NMRC will also be providing them with employment opportunities, so that they can be included in society.

Now ain’t this news different from the otherwise dreary ones we hear every day?!
