The Road Between Delhi Gate & Kashmere Gate To Get Completely Redesigned & Revamped

The stretch of road from Delhi Gate to Kashmere Gate is all set to get a fresh new look! The Shahjahanabad Redevelopment Corporation (SRDC) is set to take up this project to decongest the 4-kms-long stretch to make it easier to travel in the walled city. Praise the lord!

The major intersections on route that’ll be redesigned will be Daryaganj- Jama Masjid, Lal Qila and Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Marg-Lothian Road. Dedicated sections for pedestrians and non-motorised vehicles will also be built, coming as answer to prayer. 

Focus is also on beautification of street lights, pavements and public services. This is a pretty good move, since in order to get more people to visit the walled city, de-congestion is majorly required!
