1. Japanese Garden

If you want to see something pleasing, different and beautiful, then come to the Japanese Garden. While exploring the garden, you will find several pagoda towers, a buddha idol, small waterfalls, and many other structures that add to the beauty of this garden. This garden has two phases which are interconnected with a tunnel and in this tunnel presents beautiful artworks. *How Fascinating!*

2. Zakir Hussain Rose Garden

This is known as Asia's largest Rose Garden and is spread over 30 acres of land having over 1600 different species of roses. These have been planted beautifully carved out lawns and flower beds. For all the nature lovers out there, this place is a dream come true!

3. Mahendra Chaudhary Zoological Park

A great place to spend some quality time with your family, this zoological park is nicely maintained with healthy animals being a delightful sight. You’ll witness a diverse species of animals, reptiles and birds enjoying their space. The best part is the golf cart facility as it can get tiring to cover such a vast area and do NOT miss the jungle safari to see the kings of the jungle if you get lucky!

4. Sukhna Wildlife Sanctuary

This wildlife sanctuary is a nature’s retreat where you’ll see some fascinating wildlife including peacocks, wild boars, water hen, and many more! The view of the lake is pleasing to eyes and believe us when we say it only gets better as the sun goes down. In nice weather and greenery all around, the sunset will be to die for!

5. Terraced Garden

Gape at the vibrant colours and soothe your eyes with the sight of gorgeous seasonal flowers and lush greenery. Established in 1979, the Terraced Garden covers an area of 10 acres and has a lighted musical fountain which becomes active in the evening, when famous songs are played and are much-loved by the tourists as well.

6. Jungle Trail

The jungle trail is a beautiful, pure and pristine break from city life and is still within city limits. The calm and quiet is breathtaking. It’s just the most amazing antidepressant and way less crowded as compared to other scenic areas. In winters, you can also find some migratory birds and take a nature walk.

7. Leisure Valley

Take a stroll amidst greenery here as Leisure Valley accounts for adding immense beauty to the city and also helps to keep the pollution at bay. Covering an 8 kms long stretch, its also popularly known as ‘The lungs of the Chandigarh City’. There is a running track and an exercise loop too for the fitness enthusiasts, and it’s safe to say that you can easily spend 2-3 hrs here without getting bored.

8. Shanti Kunj

As the name beautifully suggests, Shanti Kunj is a green zone ideal for people who desire a soothing and peaceful morning walk and spend some time with nature. The most stunning part of this place is that it is nourished by a natural stream of water that splits into five small islands. Neat and well-maintained paths add to the beauty of the garden.
