City Palace, a palace complex built over 400 years ago *YUP!* is a living and breathing piece of history that all heritage buffs MUST visit! The palace is located on the eastern banks of Lake Pichola which makes it a true feast for the eyes with panoramic views of the city. 

It's known to be Rajasthan’s largest palace complex, built by Maharaja Udai Singh, however, it has undergone various restorations and additions over the years.

You can witness several historic monuments from the palace like the Lake Palace, Jag Mandir, Jagdish Temple, Monsoon Palace and Neemach Mata temple, all of which lie nearby *win win*.

And if you wish to experience Rajasthan history, don't miss the Mewar sound and light show that takes place between 7 - 8 PM at Manek Chowk. Happy exploring!
