There’s more to Srinagar than just the Dal Lake and Shikara rides. Kashmiri cuisine is widely renowned for its feisty flavours and varied ingredients. So, while you take a tour of Kashmir’s serene beauty, make a pit-stop at the legendary Ahdoos Hotel and treat your taste buds to a royal feast.

From the traditional lamb delicacy Rogan Josh to the leafy green Haakh, they have it all. Don't underestimate their vegetarian delicacies like the soft Chaaman (Paneer in a yellow gravy), spicy Dum Aloo and the subtle Nadur Yakhni (Lotus stem cooked in a yoghurt based gravy). 

On the other hand, their succulent Chilly Chicken Kebabs and Tabak Maaz (ribs cooked in a yoghurt mix and then deep fried) are highly recommended. If you’re looking for something offbeat, try their Goshtaba and Rista. The slightly spicy Rista has a coarser texture but is equally delicious.

Don’t forget to visit their bakery on the ground floor as the sheer variety of breads will leave you spellbound. Pick up a couple of flaky Bakarkhani, doughnut-shaped Telvur and Katlam to munch on, as you take a post lunch stroll near Jhelum in the restaurant’s vicinity.
