Going to Kashmir and not visiting the Tulip Garden is like going to Agra and not visiting the Taj Mahal; you forego the essence of the place! Being the largest of its kind in Asia, the Indira Gandhi Tulip Garden can very well become your next wallpaper, for all its multicoloured vistas.

The Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden is nestled on the foothills of Zabarwan Range with an overview of Dal Lake. Previously known as the Model Floriculture Center, the garden has innumerable long parallel rows of Hyacinths, Daffodils and Ranunculus apart from Tulips.

The garden is home to about 48 species of flowers and has a multi-tier structure. The flowers are in full bloom during the first half of April. In fact, every year from 1st April to 15th April, the Tulip Festival is organized during which thousands of visitors flock to the garden to witness its ethereal beauty.

So plan your trip around the Tulip Festival and have yourselves an insta-worthy day!
