Sinhagad Fort is a 2000-year-old fort nestled amidst the lush greens of Thoptewadi. A once-popular stronghold for Maratha rulers, today this hill fortress proudly stands tall as one of the most famous trekking spots in town!

A Stairway To Heaven | Sinhagad Fort means “fort of the lion”, as vicious as its name, this fort has seen its fair share of bloodshed owing to the several battles fought here. Situated at 1312 m above sea level atop a cliff in the Sahyadri range, this spot offers a thrilling trek to the visitors. Although vehicles are allowed here, we recommend that you traverse your way up while glancing over the scenic views!

Signifying the indigenous history of the region, Sinhagad Fort has been subjected to successive renovations by every ruler who has captured it. The picturesque views, the stunning architecture of the fort and an exhilarating trek makes for a fun-filled weekend getaway!
