The Shaniwarwada Fort situated in the heart of the Pune city is one of the most visited places by Punekars, more so after the release of the movie Bajirao Mastani that depicts the fort. It’s believed that the ghost of the prince Narayan Rao Peshwa still haunts the corridors after being hacked to death in the very same place. Moreover, most of the fort was said to have been burnt down in a week-long fire, claiming the lives of several people who lived in the fort. It is believed that their spirits still roam the fort and therefore no one enters it post 5:30 PM.

Incidents like hearing strange, high-pitched giggling and screams during odd hours of the day and night and the noises of the seats being banged are said to be a common occurrence. So, if you want to avoid watching horror with your comedy film, I would advise you to skip this place at night!
