1. Ice Skating

It's the only natural ice skating rink in India, believe it or not! Located at the foothills of the lower Himalayas, the place promises an enjoyable experience to the tourists as well as the locals. The place also hosts a lot of festivities, feasts and carnivals throughout the year. So, put on your skates, and get going already!

2. River Rafting

3. Skiing

A skier’s paradise where the season is from mid December to early February, skiing in the snow-capped & lofty Himalayas is a must do. Some of the places are loved for its deep valleys and exhilarating slopes, best suited for skiing!

4. Mountain Biking

Traverse the adventurous terrain of the steep hills, with the cool mountain breeze blowing! Mostly all the trails mentioned offer steep climbs and uphill sprinting with loose gravel, potholes and mud which makes it all the more challenging. The ideal season for mountain biking is from June to the first week of November so plan accordingly!

5. Paragliding

An exhilarating experience that will set your heart-racing, glide through the air and atop the lush green mountains, witnessing the true beauty of Shimla. This is carried out near the Naldehra Golf Course by a company called Cloud Bridge.

6. Trekking

There are lots of places in and around Shimla that would be ideal for trekking through the high mountain peaks and the dense forest. You can set up camp and enjoy a nice bonfire at night even so get going!
