On the terraced slopes of the Western Ghats, overlooking the road from Coonoor to Mettupalayam, with a beautifully arched entrance shaded by Jacaranda, is a 19th century graveyard which was mainly used by the British for their war burials. The old graves, beautifully engraved, give a rustic charm to the place. Far from the hustle & bustle, this places is worth a visit for its view and mysterious charm.

2. Lamb’s Rock

A viewpoint on the hilly slopes on your way to Dolphin’s Nose, go here for all the tea tree plantations and a bird’s eye view of the city. You can see 3 states from this point - Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu! There's a little climb to the top, but the trek and view make up for a breathtaking view. The place has been utilised as a shooting location for bollywood movies like Welcome & No Entry, so bollywood buffs, how can you not visit this place?!

3. Visit Catherine Falls

One of the renowned tourist spots in Kotagiri, Catherine Falls is a beautiful waterfall located in the lush Nilgiris. This double-cascaded waterfall offers a picturesque drive and you surely won’t mind the leisurely trek of 1.5 Kms to reach the base of this breathtaking waterfall. Surrounded by coffee plantations, the place is definitely a treat to the eyes.
