The Mountains Are Calling! Take On The Awe-Inspiring Trek To Triund

Triund is the reigning gem of Dharamshala with the Dhauladhar mountains on one side and the Kangra Valley on the other which makes it an extremely popular trekking spot!

The roughly 8-9 kms long trek from Mcleodganj is considered fairly easy to moderate with the first set of kms being comparatively undemanding than the last km which requires a bit of an effort due to all the curves! Pro Tip - You can hire a car til Gallu Devi Mandir and save your breath for the main part of the trek. 

There are tons of chai shops offering tea, maggi and knick knacks on the way to keep you going but are usually priced higher.

Once you make it to the top, spend a few hours admiring the untouched beauty of the Dhauladhar mountain range! The valley is even more beautiful at night *think stargazing* and so you can hire a two man tent; incase you don't want to camp out, there's a guest house available as well.

Although reaching triund is an achievement in itself, you can go even further if you're an experienced trekker! 

So pack your backpacks and head out and don't forget to have a hearty brekkie before you do!
