This Gurudwara is located in the heart of the city in the Field Ganj and is the most famous Gurudwara in Ludhiana. Around 50,000 devotees, on an average, visit this Gurudwara to pay homage to the Guru Granth Sahib. It is beautifully built and attracts a lot of tourists as well. The Gurudwara offers langar in addition to free of cost living facilities for fellow travellers; a must-visit when in Ludhiana.

2. Gurudwara Nanaksar

This holy shrine was established back in 1975 and was built as a memorial to Sri Guru Gobind Singh. The Gurudwara is home to three shrines namely Gurdwara Sahib Patshahi Pehli, Gurdwara Sahib Patshahi Chhevin, and Gurdwara Sahib Patshahi Dasvin. The grand structure is six-storey high and looks magnificent in the evenings when it’s all lit up! Bask in the divinity of this place to calm your soul and while you’re at it make sure you taste the delectable langar meal too!

3. Gurudwara Sri Manji Sahib

Situated in the Alamgir village this Gurudwara is also popularly known as Alamgir Sahib. The palanquin (Manji) that carried Guru Gobind Singh to his place is preserved at this Gurudwara and that’s how it got its name. Another interesting fact about the place is the story about the “Tissar” or Arrow Lake which is said to have originated when Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji had shot an arrow in the ground which erupted into a spring. Lots of devotees visit the Gurudwara to procure the holy water with the faith that it can cure all the pains and worries away.

4. Sheeshe Wala Gurudwara

Sheeshe Wala Gurudwara as the name suggests is made entirely out of glass and is a popular tourist attraction for its magnificent glass built architecture. The Gurudwara is well maintained and houses a lot of antique collections as well. A lot of travellers stop by to gaze at this architectural marvel nevertheless the devotees still come and experience the serenity of the holy worship place.

5. Gurudwara Damdama Sahib

Gurudwara Damdama Sahib has a lot of historic importance as it is known for being visited by Guru Nanak Dev Ji as well as by Guru Hargobind Singh Ji. Guru Nanak Dev Ji imparted the Sikhism teachings amongst the people there and later Guru Hargobind Singh Ji visited this place to rest for sometime before heading forward to face the Mughals. The Gurudwara is situated outside the city and is often very quiet and peaceful with only the sound of kirtan filling the air around. Purely divine and serene.
