The best way to travel in Delhi during the sweltering summer days is by metro. Summer in the capital is ruthless, but so are the winters. Although, from next winter season, you’ll get a warm welcome as you board the metro because the heating systems are being installed!

Warm Winter Ahead | The trains in the older corridors, like the Red Line (Rithala - Shaheed Sthal New Adda), Yellow Line (Samaypur Badli - HUDA City Centre) and the Blue Line (Dwarka - Vaishali/Noida City Centre) have old air-conditioning systems, and these will also be upgraded with new heating systems for the bone-chilling winter, this city witnesses. These heating systems, that may also be available on the Pink Line (Shiv Vihar-Majlis Park) and Magenta Line (Botanical Garden- Janakpuri West) will ensure a pleasant temperature of 19-25 degrees during the winters.

With this new addition, there will also be some more features in the metro, like dimmer-control units, better opening and closing door mechanism, smoke detention and swanky flooring as the old metro coaches show signs of wear and tear. DMRC is refurbishing the old trains, that includes retrofitting of gangways.

All this will definitely improve the travelling experience, what do you guys think?
