Delhi To Meerut In 1 Hour!! | Construction of the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor between Delhi to Meerut is expected to start by July, and once completed, it will bring down travel time between Delhi and Meerut to (JUST) 1 hour, peeps! No kidding!
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation is the executing agency for the task and is planning to create high speed smart lines in Delhi NCR. The construction of 3 corridors has been prioritised in the first phase of the project.
The three corridors are Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut, Delhi-Alwar and Delhi-Panipat. The Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut smart line will start at Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi NCR and will go till Modipuram in Meerut, crossing Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Murad Nagar and Midi Nagar. Daily ridership on this corridor is estimated to be around 8 lakh.
Could we have ever imagined travelling all the way to Meerut in just 1 hour? This corridor is sure gonna be our saviour and we can’t wait for it to be thrown open for us!
