Delhizens, isn’t Lodhi Gardens one of our fave spots for a nice walk or a picnic during winters? Of course it is! And you know what? Our good old Lodhi Gardens is all set to go high-tech. How you ask? Well, why don’t you read up and find out?
Lodhi Garden To Become Tech-Savvy | The new year has defo brought in some new changes at Lodhi Garden. This heritage park is all set to go high-tech as QR codes will be installed on 100 different species of trees there.
Okay so here’s how these QR codes will be beneficial for us visitors - you can scan these codes and you’ll get all the information regarding that particular tree like its age, botanical name, the colour of its flowers, texture, origin, medicinal value, fruiting season, lifespan and more. So if you’re a botanist, then these QR codes will be of special interest to you.
The idea is to educate people about the different species of trees at the park and encourage them to protect it. Out of the 7,000 species of trees at Lodhi Garden, 100 most unique ones have been chosen as of now for installation of these QR codes.
Well, this is really an interesting bit of news and we can’t wait to scan these codes and know all that we can about these trees!
