Y'All Metro Travellers May See The Opening Of A New Metro Route Almost Every Month This Year!
Apart from being an out and out blessing to Delhi dwellers, Delhi Metro is full of surprises! And here’s yet another reason why it’s bae to all of us - DMRC is likely to kick start a new section nearly every month! Now this is crazy!
A New Metro Section EVERY Month?! | Here’s everything in the pipeline - the Mundka – Bahadurgarh section of Delhi Metro’s Green Line recently got safety approval and will soon be thrown open for us commuters. And, the Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus – Lajpat Nagar section of the Pink Line is likely to open next month, offering convenient interchange facility for people travelling from Huda City Centre to Samaypur Badli.
Another section of the Pink Line, the Trilokpuri – Shiv Vihar section, is likely to be thrown open for public use in August this year. And once this section is up and running, people in the North Eastern part of Delhi will get direct metro connectivity. Currently, they have to come all the way to the GT Road Metro Station in order to catch the Red Line.
The DMRC is planning to throw open the stretch between Dilshad Garden and Ghaziabad Bus Stand, which covers a total of 8 metro stations, by September this year. And that’s not all! The last section of the Blue Line, from Noida Sector 32 to Noida Sector 62 is likely to be up and running by December 2018! Most of the work on this line is complete and we can expect a timely opening of this section! Woohoo!
Phew, seems to us that a lot is up DMRC’s sleeve these days! Plus, did you know that these guys have plans for the next year as well? The final line of Delhi Metro’s Phase III project, connecting Dwarka to Najafgarh, is scheduled to open in June next year!
So well done Delhi Metro!
