Hola Delhizens! Here’s a piece of interesting news for you all. Remember the Common Mobility Cards that we told you ‘bout earlier, using which you can travel in the metro as well as DTC buses? Well, those cards have now been launched, so go get yours now!
Here’s What’s Happening | After years of delay, Common Mobility Cards were FINALLY launched for us peeps on the 3rd of December, by Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot. And we’re all itching to get our hands on ‘em!
These new cards will be completely different from the ones we use now and will have the tagline ‘’One Delhi. One Ride’’. So you’ll find a background of cubic grids in bright shades of red, yellow and more on the card. Such cards will also bear sketches of metro trains, DTC buses, cars and monuments. These cards can be used in metros exactly the way you use your smart cards currently.
You have to show the card to the conductor of the bus you’re planning to travel on, who will then flash the card on the screen of the electronic ticketing machine, through which your fare will automatically be deducted. Easy peasy!
Awesome move by our Transport Department for sure! So Delhiites, go get your brand new Common Mobility Cards ASAP!
