The iconic cable bridge in Delhi AKA Signature Bridge has been the talk of the town for quite some time. And we recently heard that it will soon become a tourist spot featuring an inclined elevator (which is said to be a first in India) and more.

Coming Up Next In Town | Delhi’s Signature Bridge will soon start hosting tourists inside a viewing gallery made of glass by the middle of the next year. This gallery will be built at a height of 154 metres, which is double the height of Qutub Minar. An inclined lift from the ground, three flights of stairs and a vertical elevator will help you reach this observation deck. This gallery will offer a panoramic view of the city and river Yamuna and will be vertically spread over four floors with a spiral stairway.

It will also have restroom facilities, parking space accommodating 100 vehicles and a 300-meter pedestrian walkway. This gallery will be able to accommodate as many as 50 people at a time. But one of the major challenges that the engineers are facing is the problem of overheating during summers in the gallery which is made of glass and the steel elevators.

Did you know it will also include a recreational area, open-air plaza, eateries and a play zone for children? Yep, and several selfie points will also be set up on the top! Earlier, the deadline for this was in September but now the work is said to see completion in December before it can be opened to public four months later!

Looks like the city is all set to see a brand new round of developments.
