Since the 22nd of March, the Delhi Metro services have been on a halt. But soon the lifeline of the city will be up and running again. Here’s what we know so far.

Proceeding With Caution | According to a recent post by the official Instagram handle of the Delhi Metro, the service may soon be making its way to the tracks. Although a date for the resumption of services has not been announced, it will soon be put forward. For this purpose, the mammoth task of detailed cleaning and sanitisation procedure is being devised. In order to abide by social distancing norms, stickers are being applied on seats of all coaches.

Did you know that 64 stations, 2,200+ coaches, over 1,100 escalators and 1,000 elevators are to be cleaned and maintained? Besides this, systems, tracks and signalling, amongst a list of other things will have to be tested before the metro trains are rolled out for public use.

When do you think the services will be back?
