Winter Is Coming And So Is The Next Edition Of The Urdu Festival, Jashn-e-Rekhta!

 Winter is coming and so, can our fave festivals be far behind?! One such carnival dedicated to all things Urdu, Jashn-e-Rekhta, is coming back to the city for its 6th edition and we're super-duper excited!

For The Love of All Things Urdu | Organised by the Rekhta foundation, a not-for-profit organization, the festival sees a gamut of Sufi music, qawwalis (performative songs), Dastangoi (the art of storytelling), calligraphy, celebrity interaction, dramas & plays based on popular figures in the Urdu language like Mirza Ghalib, Rekhta Food Festival and loads of more fun-filled experiences!

And this year, the well-known festival is happening from the 13th to 15th of December (Friday - Sunday) at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium. The fiesta, known for celebrating the essence of Urdu, has previously seen popular figures such as Warsi Brothers performing their stirring qawwalis, Nooran Sisters enthralling the crowd with their soulful music and Javed Akhtar - wow.

So, if you’re someone who lives and breathes Urdu, you must put this up on your schedule, ‘cause this is a festival crafted just for you!
