Sweet April showers do spring May flowers they say. All through April we saw diverse eateries pop up in different part of Delhi that are compellingly inviting enough to keep you social for the following month of May. Here’s a list of all the new places in town that you should be seen at!

1. Luira

Named after a local seed-sowing festival celebrated in Nagaland; Luira curates Asian, Italian and North Eastern delicacies on the menu, and beautifully at that. A completely sun-soaked ambience during the day and providing a scenic picture of the Def Col market by night; this restaurant is a place to let your hair down and just be. Vietnamese rolls and Pizza Alla Funghi surely steal all hearts here. A meal for two can bring you down by Rs 1,600.

2. Nido Bar

Nail every date night by chilling at this uber chic restaurant bar fondly called ‘Nido.’ Lots of bright lighting, plush décor comprising of chandeliers, sofas and a picturesque bar gives the ambience a top notch punch. From a creatively curated menu comprising of Italian, Chinese, North Indian and Continental delicacies we recommend you try their Prawn Spring Roll and  Beer Battered Fish 'n' Chips. A meal for two can touch Rs 2,500 range here.

3. The Circus

With more than 300 childhood-memory-inducing dishes decked on its menu, crazy mixes for cocktails, a riot of colors and surprises in its ambience and an extraordinarily attractive theme to lure Delhi’s junta into its premises, The Circus is the latest talk of the town! From preparations including Mexican, Italian, Lebanese delicacies to Indian street food there is something for everyone here. A meal for two can be wrapped up within Rs 2,000.

4. Wolfgang and Co.

Like the moon among the stars, Wolfgang Kitchen and Bar stands out elegant to the core among all others in Connaught Place. Similar to a retro British Bar but with a touch of mysticism this sophisticated eatery is all about wooden paneled walls and leather couches. Treating you to its European, Italian, Middle Eastern, Chinese and North Indian preparations, their Old-Fashioned, Whiskey Sour, Wild Mushroom Soup with Garlic Toast and Arugula Apple Celery Salad are must tries here. You are going to end up spending Rs 2,100 for a dinner for two here.

5. Recreio

An intimate inclusion in the HKV eatery line up; Recreio is funky and artsy to the core. Offering a pool table, PS4 and XBox to keep you hooked while you feast on its varied Pan Asian preparation; this one is an instant hit among family and friends alike. Bacon Wrapped Chicken like the one served here is a novelty in Delhi. You need to shell out Rs 800 for buying a dinner that serves two.

6. Phone Booth Cafe

Bringing memories forth of old world street cafes of London, this quaint restaurant has upped the game of North Delhi. The vintage feel of the ambience comes from a large red phone booth at the entrance, iron lamp posts & a mural of a bustling street on one wall. The menu has a sprawl of Indian to Chinese, Thai and Continental preparations all muted to desi taste buds. The Blueberry Pie Shake, Nacho Salsa Chaat & Fattoush salad all make it to the list for us. A meal for two can be covered up in Rs 800 here.

7. NH44

Picking all its shades from the longest highway in the country that stretches from Kashmir to Kanyakumari; NH44 comes decked in a theme that is an amalgam of dhabas and havelis that fall on the way. The myriad variety of preparations have been inspired by various cultures of cities like Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Delhi, Lucknow, Rajasthan, Gujarat , Maharashtra, Hyderabad, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Bengaluru and finally Kanyakumari. Do try the Dal Makhni. This wild ride will cost you around Rs 1,000 for two.

8. Wendy's

Square Burgers can be game changers when done to such sumptuous perfection as at Wendy’s. Quirky interiors, classy porcelain crockery, attentive staff, an extensive menu to choose from and yummy home-cooked burgers all work beautifully to make every meal winsome here at Wendy’s - you really need to come swing by. Their Spicy Potato Crunch Burger did it for us. A meal for two can cost a very reasonable Rs 400.

9. Mumbai Matinee

Lace those sleepless late nights with a dash of Bollywood love at Mumbai Matinee Café, which boasts of serving Mumbai’s local classics till 2 AM! Done to breath-taking perfection with picture frames of actors, actresses, villains and comedians, the place teleports you to ‘The Golden Era of Hindi Film Industry’ with its soulful music playing in the background. A crisp menu serves Mexican, Italian and some of Mumbai’s local delicacies redone with a professional twist. A wholesome meal for two here can cost around Rs 1,000 here.

10. Garam Dharam

Celebrating the life of legendary yesteryear Bollywood actor Dharmendra with kitschy pomp and splendor is the restaurant ‘Garam Dharam’ with its second branch in Rajouri Garden after one in Connaught Place. This dhaba-styled bistro is a treat for Punjabi food lovers with an energetic ambience to match its flavorsome food. Hog some Dahi ke Kebabs when here. A meal for two here can bring you down by Rs 2,500.

11. Dishoom: Cafe and Lounge

Set up to have an eclectic color pop ambience done on rustic lines, Dishoom Café is the latest offering on Satyaniketan market’s menu. The café serves a mix of Italian, Continental and Lebanese on its quaint menu. Chilly Broccoli and Drums of Heaven just cannot be skipped here. A meal for two can be managed within Rs 650 for two here. Come on over this weekend for a quirky ambience and some nummy eats!

12. House of Commons

Ruling the M Block section of our much loved Connaught Place, the new gastropub House of Commons has everyone yelling ‘party!’ This fun place sets the celebratory ambience with its hip music, funky ambience and lip smacking fusion food done to tasteful perfection. The live Pizza and Pasta corner here are every foodie’s dream. Gorge on their All Veggie Exotic Pizza along with some sips of their Bony Tail for maximum satisfaction. A dinner for two can require you to shell out Rs 1,400 here.
