We've Hunted Down 5 Awesome Places Serving Laphing For Rs 40 @ Majnu Ka Tilla For Y'All
Majnu Ka Tilla is the go-to place for everyone who cannot go to Tibet but wants to experience its cuisine and culture. It’s a little Tibet in itself with absolutely authentic food and well preserved culture, but in Delhi. We’re dedicating this piece to laphing, a popular spicy Tibetan street dish usually made from cold mung bean or potato starch with ghee, soyabean/white flour filling along with a spice masala sauce. Delish, flavoursome and super cheap, laphing says Tibet like nothing else!
We’ve put together a list of five places where you can enjoy a nice bowl of Laphing @Rs. 40 each!
1. Tenzing Aunty’s
In front of the Buddhist Monastery in the centre of MKT, at the left hand side, you’ll find Tenzing Aunty (close to Ratna Treasure Handicraft) preparing this scrumptious Tibetan delicacy. She’s been putting up this shop for quite a few years and in case you’re not a fan of too much spices, do let her know or else you’ll end up running for water. Try the Dry Laphing here and do visit the Monastery!

Run by two young men, this one is almost a tiny food joint with a few stools for sitting while you gobble up your bowls of laphing. You’ll find this one right in front of Nguyen House, and you can get Dry Laphing or Laphing with gravy here and both will be worth it!
