Sitting at home throughout the weekend was getting super boring and mundane and we were all eagerly waiting for the weekend lockdown to lift, and restaurants to be operational again, weren’t we? All those weekend plans which we were dreaming about can now be executed, with precautions of course. So read on for more information on this decision of the Delhi government!

Hola To The Long-Due Weekend Plans | With the COVID-19 cases on the decline in the city, the government announced that the weekend curfew has been lifted, the odd-even curbs for markets removed and that the restaurants and cinemas can operate at 50% capacity. The number of guests in the wedding festivities has been raised to 200 from 50. But the night curfew from 10:00 PM - 5:00 AM which had been in force since December last year will still remain. This decision to ease the curbs was made in the meeting held between the Delhi government and Lieutenant Governor, Anil Baijal.

However, no decision was taken on the reopening of schools in the meeting, although Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia had raised concerns about the prolonged shutdown of schools affecting the education and mental health of children. He also mentioned that the Delhi government would suggest re-opening the schools to prevent further damage to children’s social and emotional well-being.

Phew, finally the weekend curfew has been lifted and it’s such a big relief, don’t y’all agree?
