After Delhi reported a monumental surge in cases on Monday, with 4,099 fresh cases and a 6.46% positivity rate, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) met today to discuss the new curbs & future action plan, considering everything. And, here’s what was decided!

Weekend Curfew Imposed | After the positivity rate stayed above 5% for 2 consecutive days, a level that triggers a red alert under the colour-coded Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP), the DDMA met today and decided to impose a weekend curfew and work from home for government offices (except essential services) to tackle soaring COVID cases.

Along with this, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia also announced that the Delhi metro & buses will operate at 100% capacity (not without mask) and that 50% workforce of private offices will work from home, in addition to the night curfew and other guidelines issued under the yellow alert. He added that there’s no reason to panic, just ensure to follow all the COVID guidelines.

Earlier today, CM Arvind Kejriwal had announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19 but had mild symptoms. As disheartening as the current scenario is, don’t lose hope and make sure you take care of yourself & your family by following the COVID appropriate behaviour.

See you on the other side!
