Agra-Delhi Rides Made Super Comfy! | In order to curb the menace of air pollution in Agra, UP’s Transport Department is soon gonna start low-floor electric AC buses between Agra and Delhi. The city recently received its first electric AC bus, that can accommodate about 35 people and has a maximum speed of 280 kmph.
An 80kw charging point will be installed in Agra and in Sahibabad. For the first 30 days, a trial run will be conducted, following which it will be thrown open for the public. According to the transport department officials, the fare of these newbie buses will be similar to the fares of the super-luxury Scania, where passengers have to pay Rs 608 per seat to travel between Agra and Delhi. Currently, the fare for Delhi-Agra journey in Volvo buses is Rs 578 and stands at Rs 290 for general buses.
We applaud this initiative by the transport department of Agra as these buses are gonna help reduce pollution while ensuring a comfy and luxurious ride for travel between both the cities. Kudos!
