We May Soon Get Public Transport Within 500m Of Our Houses, Running After Every 15 Mins!

In spite of Delhi Metro making commutes super easy for us Delhizens, the problem of transportation hasn’t quite been solved in the capital, has it? Barring the metro, all the other transportation modes are severely falling short of the public demand which basically results in inconvenience for us commuters. But here’s a ray of hope that might make travel in the city a tad easier for us peeps. Read on. 

Public Transport After Every 15 Mins! | We may soon be able to access public transport within 500 metres of our houses running at a frequency of 15 minutes, according to our Transport Minister. Yayyy! A study, to be carried out by the Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System (DIMTS), will be looking at the possibility of rationalising bus routes and other modes of transport for increased efficiency of the capital’s commutation system.

And and, here’s some more good news! We commuters will also be able to use Delhi Metro smart cards to travel in all DTC buses from 31st July! All DTC buses will soon be equipped with Electronic Ticketing Machines (ETMs) which will deduct fares from our smart cards for our bus rides. 

Let’s hope this is implemented soon!
