Folks, y’all must be well aware that bars have been closed in the capital ever since the lockdown was imposed. This means that the restaurants which were open were not allowed to serve alcohol to the customers. But this is about to change and we’ve got all the deets.
What You Need To Know | The Lieutenant Governor of the city directed on Thursday, the 3rd of September, that bars, restaurants and hotels will now be allowed to serve alcohol on a trial basis between 9th and 30th September. However, restaurants, clubs, hotels, bars and pubs are to follow a stringent protocol in the intake of customers, allowing only up to 50% of the total seating capacity.
Did you know, as of Thursday, there were 922 containment zones in the city? Yep, and none of these will be allowed to operate in the containment areas. It will be mandatory to wear a mask, get a thermal screening done and sanitise hands to get entry. Only asymptomatic customers and staff will be allowed inside, and no standing customers will be served.
What do you think about this trial move? Do you think it was about time it happened? Let us know!
