This Is A Representative Image

We’ve often watched flicks with the lead sitting in the back of a cab and asking the driver to just keep driving without giving them any specific destination. Well, you can now pretty much do this by booking tickets for a flight to nowhere! Confused, aren’t you? Well, here’s what this means.

No Final Destination! | Air India is planning to start flights to nowhere. Yep, you read that absolutely correct! Just as the name suggests, this means these flights don’t have a destination and the sole purpose of them is basically being a joy ride. So, this means that the flights will take off & land at the same airport and during the flight it will give the passengers views of some of the major sights! Sounds pretty cool, doesn’t it? They’re planning to use Boeing 747 jumbo jet for this with the flights operating at Minimum Obstacle Clearance Altitude (MOCA).

This means the lowest and safest level of flying an aircraft without having any obstacle (such as buildings) in its way and these may vary for different cities. Did you know Australia already operates such flights? Yep, they have 7-hour long flight that takes the passengers over the Outback and the Great Barrier Reef. Singapore is also planning to introduce similar flights.

We’re definitely excited about this one-of-a-kind travel experience! What about you?
