DelhiWe All Know About Fabindia & Anokhi But We Bet You Haven't Heard Of 'The Shop' In CP!
During another one of our aimless, wondrous strolls through the buzzing lanes of Dilli ka dil, CP, we stumbled across a shop aptly named ‘The Shop’ (full marks for creativity!). Bring us anything with an ethnic touch and watch us drooooool! The Shop tugs at all the right heart strings with its array of handcrafted goodness. Enchanting woodwork and an arch-like entrance invites you into a spacious, two-storeyed, sweet smelling haven of all things absolutely drop-dead G O R G E O U S!

It’s a short walk from either Janpath or Rajiv Chowk Metro Stations, and is tastefully decorated with wooden interiors and quirky accessories including an antique bench, a large stone pot filled with rose petals, and a lovely hammock. Fair warning - it’s very, very easy to fall in love as soon as you step in!
Add A Desi Touch To Your Casual Wear

The front-half of the ground floor showcases a section of home decor accessories and ‘kitchen stuff’, as a chalkboard helpfully informs you. Imagine a vast collection of table covers, cushions, curtains, bedcovers and quilts, in an absolutely huge range of Indie prints and colours (to all the kalamkari fans out there, this is your go-to!). We also loved the rack of colourful oven gloves *aww*!

Walk further down the store and you will find shelf after shelf brimming with ceramics. Cups, kettles and pots in warm, earthy hues of blue, green, beige and brown are the perfect method to add just that extra spark of gorgeousness to your morning cuppa! Next to the ceramics section is a corner labelled ‘Aromatherapy,’ where the essential oils and natural, luxury soaps (wrapped in the most beautiful fabric coverings) are the quintessential way to give yourself that much needed weekend of self pampering! And aaaaah! Kya khushboo hai!
More Desi Apparel? Yes, Please!

A wooden staircase leads to the upper floor, which houses their entire clothing range. Kurtas, palazzos, dresses, tunics and nightgowns for women, alongside similar kurtas, shirts and pants for men, will have you scanning the shelves for hours! They dye, print, embroider and stitch all the products available at their workshop in Noida. You’ll find lots of soothing, summery colours and prints, perfect for wearing pretty much anywhere - be it office or college, or even a lunch date! We also loved the embroidered jackets, laden with kantha work.

Oh, and they have the PRETTIEST trial rooms, too! (Go rock that mirror selfie here!) What especially won our hearts, though, was the collection of cutesy Indo-wear for children. Dressing up your little munchkin, or even buying a gift for a niece or nephew, would never have felt more pleasing, we can promise you!
Full Marks For Being Eco-Friendly!

On the ground floor, you’ll spot a sign at a corner indicating items part of the Renew Project. The company uses natural gas and recycled scraps of fabric and other waste materials to create a small but stunning range of notebooks, decorative items, cushion covers and bed sheets.
A quote across one of the walls of The Shop says, “Shopping all my life, and still have nothing!” Coming to this treasure definitely makes the heart yearn for things you never even knew you needed in your life! Yes, fabricated gift tags, we’re talking about you! You NEED to check this place out.
