Did You Know It Was Built By Shah Jahan? | Considered to be one of the best architecture of the Mughals, Jama Masjid has 3 gates, 4 towers, & 2 minarets. The prayer hall stands at a height of 61 meters and can easily accommodate upto 25 K visitors at the same time. The floor inside the mosque is made of white & black decorated marble that depicts the Muslim prayer mat. 

With more than 5,000 construction workers and a million rupees was needed to build this Mosque, Shah Jahan originally named it ‘masjid E Jahan Numa.’ The meaning behind this name was ‘the Mosque overlooking the entire world.’ Today, the Jama Masjid has been repaired & preserved, and it showcases the richness of Mughal architecture.
