One of the most preferred options for travelling to Jammu is via train or air. But soon after THIS project will be completed, the popular choice of route will be via road. And here’s why!

Shifting Closer, Very Soon? | Recently it was announced by the Union Minister that work on Delhi-Katra highway has now begun. This work is expected to be completed by 2023, after which the travel time to Jammu will be reduced to JUST 6 and a half hours - *wait, what?*! And did you know the expressway will also connect the holy cities of Katra and Amritsar? Yep, the road will pass through other prominent cities like Ludhiana, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Kathua and Jammu.

Plus, the national highway between Pathankot and Katra is being widened to 6 lanes which will ease the traffic. This may result in the boost of economic activities in the connecting cities, which is good.

Let’s hope this development process is completed quickly so that we have another destination for a road trip!
