Hey fellow Delhizens! All of you who own cars, lend us your ears, as we’ve have some good-to-know info that’ll come in handy. Here’s everything you need to know!

Colour Stickers On Cars? Why? | Come October and you’ll have to put coloured stickers on the windshields of your cars, which will indicate the nature of the vehicle - whether it runs on petrol, diesel, or if it’s hybrid, electric or BS-VI compliant. Each colour will denote a particular vehicle type.

So orange stickers stand for diesel vehicles; petrol and CNG vehicles will carry blue stickers and mostly we’ll have green number plates for electric and hybrid vehicles. The stickers are also supposed to bear the vehicle’s year of manufacturing, which’ll make it easier for authorities to spot vehicles that are not allowed to ply in the city. Diesel run vehicles that are older than 10 years and petrol-run vehicles older than 15 years are banned.

The move is going to play a huge role in anti-pollution measures planned by the government and we applaud this initiative!
