Vapes May Soon Become A Thing Of The Past With This New Ban Coming Into Place

Do you like to blow rings of smoke while you breathe in fruity vapes? Well, you might not get a chance to do that anymore as there’s a new ban coming up!

‘No E-Cigarette’ Zone Ahead | On Wednesday, the 18th of September, it was announced that the Cabinet has approved the decision to ban e-ciggies. This means that the Union Cabinet has given a nod to the prohibition of production, export/import, manufacturing, sale, storage, advertising and even distribution of these products! Several factions had called in to ban e-cigarettes, heat-not-burn devices, e-sheesha, e-nicotine flavoured hookah and vapes.

Did you know that there are no Indian companies that manufacture e-cigarettes but there are several other (approx. 400) brands that are operating here? Yep, and in case someone is found violating this ban, they can land up in jail for a year after the first offence whereas the repetition of the same might extend the jail-time to 3 years!

New York also recently banned flavoured e-cigarettes. What are your thoughts on this development?
