
Update: Govt. Clarifies Saying No Ban On Playing Recorded Music In Delhi’s Restro Bars
Delhizens, you can heave a sigh of relief. The government has recently clarified that it will NOT be banning playing of recorded music in the capital’s restro bars! Thank god!
Here’s The Update | Here’s some context. Restro bars playing pre-recorded music in their premises were being asked to switch over to live music or instruments as per the 2010 Excise Rules. The government was set on banning recorded music in the pubs across Delhi.
However, today the government clarified that no action will be taken against restro bars for playing recorded music. And we couldn’t be happier with this happy turn of events!
