Hello, Delhites! Sometimes travelling in a cab can be a pretty taxing ordeal when the driver seems shady or the hour of the day is not right. But to put your worries to rest, the Uber App and the Delhi Police have come together!
Collab For Safer Rides | Guys, we just heard that the popular taxi app Uber recently announced that they will be integrating with the Delhi Police’s Himmat App. This will allow the passengers to share ride details with the police for a safer journey and will, in turn, save lives. The Delhi Police has so far distributed over 1,000 Himmat QR Verification Cards to driver-partners.
So, basically, if the driver opts for emergency services then the passenger’s details including their taxi’s live location will directly be shared with the Delhi Police Headquarters. They will extend the QR Cards to more drivers on the app and might even possibly integrate the service with emergency number 112.
What do you think about this move?
