#TravelTuesday - Headed to Kasol? Don't Miss This Unexplored Village Which Is Just A 10 km Trek From It!
While we're melting away in mid May *45 degrees and counting!*, what could be better than a short and sweet break!
Lying not more than 550 kms away from Delhi, lies this place which is filled with lush greenery and roaring waterfalls in Himachal Pradesh known as Grahan!
Kasol has always been synonymous with a super chilled out scene as far as a getaway is concerned, and for those visiting the place, Grahan which is just a 10 km trek away from it, is barely explored.
So let's walk you through this hidden gem!
Grahan is situated at 2567 meters in Parvati Valley which is around a 10 kms trek from the bridge near Old Kasol. The trek begins towards the right side of the bridge and you won’t get lost thanks to the red signage pointed on the rocks directed towards Grahan.
Be ready with your backpacks and bottles of mineral water as it’s a 5 long hour trek and don't worry you won’t feel exhausted, thanks to the beauty and freshness of the Parvati river. The end of the trail, bifurcates into Pulgi village and Grahan village and it won’t be much of a hassle to figure out which path to climb, as the more difficult climb leads you to Grahan.
Grahan is the base camp to Sar Pass and overall this place has trekkers from all around the globe! After reaching the village, one can enjoy the serenity of the lush greens and cannabis farming whilst indulging in raw honey tea & Maggi!
Also, just another hour's trek from the village would take you to 3 other waterfalls which is what is needed just before heading back to the scorching heat of Delhi.
