Toll Plazas Will Soon Have Automatic Payments And Defaulters Shall Need To Pay Double Fee

Hello, Delhizens! We just heard that there will soon be a new system in place that’ll be introduced at toll plazas in the country. Here’s everything you need to know.

Offering Convenience? | Word is that a new FASTag system will be introduced at several toll plazas throughout the country. So FASTag is a sticker that’s stuck on the windshield of the car and this becomes the radio frequency identity of the vehicle which is read by the sensors placed on the toll plazas. The sticker is linked to accounts like Paytm or through the bank account which is then automatically deducted when the vehicle crosses the RFID-enabled plaza. 

This system was earlier decided to be implemented from the 1st of December but now the date has been extended to 15th of this month. If the vehicle owners fail to get their stickers before the stipulated sate, the toll payable will be double the amount being paid by commuters now. Trial runs are being conducted Kherkki Dhaula that haven’t reaped the best results w=and have often been pretty chaotic. The lane on the left has been allotted for the commuters to pay the toll in cash.
