DelhiThis Sprawling 14th Century Fort In Delhi Will Soon Be Illuminated By The End Of 2019
Delhi is a culturally and historically rich city and wherever one sees, they can find reminders of the erstwhile emperors that once walked the city. One such fort built during the Delhi Sultanate will now be illuminated by the end of this year.
Light It Up! | A lil birdie just told us that the Tughlaqabad Fort will soon be a part of the list of illuminated monuments in saadi Dilli. The Archeological Survey Of India (ASI) and NBCC India will initiate the development work on the monument from the end of September. The plan is to light-up 1.5 Km of stretch in the front portion and some parts of the inside area.
The budget for this project is approx. Rs 3 crores and the completion is supposed to be over by the end of this year. There is no info about whether there will be an increase in the visiting hours once the illumination work is done, but currently, the timings are 7 AM - 5 PM.
Will you be visiting the fort once it’s been lit up?
