With wall murals, cool and thought-provoking graffiti, impressive food courts, bookstores and so much more, the stations of the Delhi Metro are no different from a fancy plaza. And the recent glamorous revamp of this metro station on the Delhi Metro’s Yellow Line is just another feather in DMRC’s cap!

A New & Improved Chattarpur MS | The Chattarpur Metro Station recently got a facelift wherein a public plaza and halt-and-go parking bays for feeder buses, autorickshaws & Grameen Sewa Vehicles have been made here. The work on this project started last year and the public plaza has been thrown open and soon a new toilet block will also come up! But seems like we’ll have to wait for the parking bays till their official inauguration.

Did you know that the unused space has been developed into a green plaza with a designated pedestrian walkway? Yep, and it also boasts of an amphitheatre with lush green grass & plants, sit-out places and tensile steel structure, all of which make it a tranquil zone in the midst of a bustling and chaotic city!

The metro station lies on the intersection point between Gurgaon and Vasant Kunj which usually sees insane traffic during peak hours and the vehicles for last-mile connectivity don’t seem to help the case. So, the DMRC now has a designated parking area for para-transit modes such as autorickshaws and Grameen Sewa vehicles which will open very soon.

Plus, the DMRC has created a network of green pathways that will help in smoothening of the chaotic pedestrian movements. And let’s leave you with an interesting nugget of trivia - the Chattarpur Metro Station is the only metro station on the Delhi Metro network which is completely made of steel - wow!

So the next time you’re in the area, make full use of this serene plaza by chilling with your squad here!
