This Is A Representative Image
There’s a stretch of road in South Delhi that has been beautified and redeveloped, setting an example for other roads in the city. Curious? Here’s everything you need to know about this stretch!
New Look! | There’s a newly beautified Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg between Chirag Dilli and Sheikh Sarai that has been developed. In fact, the two, foot over bridges here have also been beautified with the theme being according to the Independence Day theme featuring Bhagat Singh and Rani Lakshmibai. But that’s not all! The stretch has wide footpaths for pedestrians and dedicated tracks for bicycles, which is pretty amazing considering this is a busy road.
In fact, they have also installed four selfie points, fountains and even ornamental benches as street furniture. A special focus has been given to roadside greenery and 11,000 litre water tanks have been provided for its maintenance. This project will indeed benefit the neighbouring areas and 10 more roads will be developed on this model!
