This Popular Park In Lutyens Will Soon Hold Musical Evenings Over A Lake (Say Whaa)!

The New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) has planned to make musical nights happen at this particular garden in Delhi and we cannot applaud them enough for this move.

Something New Is Comin' Up | So, we just got wind about this development that’s going to happen at the Nehru Park in Lutyens. It’ll soon feature several new attractions like a stage in the centre of an artificial lake that’s been revived to host musical events, a digital information centre and theme gardens. 

The new plan is to ensure that the lake, which was originally set up around a decade ago but ran dry because of the shortage of water, is supplied with treated water from the nearest sewage treatment plant (STP). Moreover, there are various other cool things in the works at this park such as waterproofing, painting and construction of a stage in the garden. Plus, to raise the number of people visiting the park, they have planned to share detailed digital information about plants and trees with the visitors.

The digital information centre will also give out details about the other well-known parks like Lodhi Garden which will include all the info about butterflies, vertical gardens nursery operations and more. And the theme garden over here will feature a grand variety of cacti from across the country!

Did you know this park is also expected to have a corner where all the tourists and researchers can learn about the history of trees, including their age & location, in the area? Yep, sounds pretty impressive!
