Delhi has a super-rich history that goes far beyond Qutub Minar & Humayun’s Tomb. Every nook and corner in Delhi has a story, be it an age-old cinema, decades-old eatery or a centuries-old hidden monument - which is why we love our city so much. And now, a beautiful monument with a striking blue dome has revealed itself, so find out all about it here!

Gaze At Its Beauty | Sabz Burj, popularly known as Neela Gumbad or Neeli Chhatri (ironically enough, Sabz Burj literally means green dome) finally opened for visitors last week. Previously, it served as a police station but now, after 3 years of restoration work by the Aga Khan Foundation, people can now gaze at its Mughal Era Architecture. Fun fact - the conservation of the Burj marks the first-ever conservation of a national monument with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds.

Located beside Humayun’s Tomb, its location at the busy junction of Mathura & Lodhi Road was one of the reasons it was overlooked in the past. But now you just can’t miss the striking blue tiles & the beautiful work on the dome.

When are you gonna go & admire the myriad shades of blue of this hidden Mughal Era monument?
