This Move By The Gurgaon Police Might Lessen The Congestion On Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway

Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway is pretty congested and often leads to people being stuck in seemingly endless traffic jams. This might, however, change for the better with this move.

Zoom Through The Expressway | So, we just heard that the Gurugram traffic police has extended the restriction on the movement of heavy vehicles by 90 minutes. Yep, so basically, now heavy vehicles won’t be allowed to ply on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway between 5 - 10:30 PM on weekdays. This step has been taken to in view to reduce the congestion on this route and ensure that the traffic on the toll plaza is much less during peak hours.

The ruling doesn’t extend to emergency vehicles such as those of the police, defence services and fire department. Did you know that nearly 3 lakh vehicles travel across the Sirhaul toll daily? Yep and this step has been brought about after the National Highway Authority Of India stated that they will be covering 7 lanes of the highway to construct the Ambience underpass. Previously, the toll was restricted until 9 PM.
