Delhi Airport, IGI, sees a whole bunch of people move in and out everyday, and so finally Noida is getting Delhi NCR’s second airport finally! A greenfield airport is being set up in the Jewar district of Greater Noida, and it’s likely to be functional within the next 5-6 years! Nice.
This Noida International Airport will then cater to 30-50 million passengers per year over the next 10-15 years! The airport in Jewar of Greater Noida is likely to reduce the load of passengers on Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport which is the country’s main aviation hub and is considered as one of its busiest airports.
Considering there’s so much traffic and load on IGI airport in Delhi, which is the only one that nearby cities like Noida, Haryana, Agra and a couple more also use, a new one based out of Noida will prove a godsend.
We’re hoping things get easier for everyone with this move!
