This Is A Representative Image

With the number of rising cases in the city, one of the largely unnoticed section of people affected by the crisis is children. A fraction of these children face an uncertain situation with their parents succumbing to the virus or have lost one parent and the other one is hospitalised. Here’s how you can help these kids.

For Children Affected By The Pandemic | Anurag Kundu, the chairperson of the Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR) of the Delhi Government, has intervened in 5 such cases. But there are still several similar cases that are going undetected because people don’t know who to contact. He has urged either to call on their helpline number +91 9311 551 393 or on the childline number 1098 that alerts Child Welfare Committees.

The intervention is needed as a lot of times these children have to be tested if they’re sick. Though most of the communities help out in such cases with neighbours or relatives jumping into action to help these children, some kind of authoritative intervention ensures these kids are in safe hands.

So, make sure to spread the word and let everyone know about this helpline!
